When Adam and I bought our house 5 years ago we planned to stay here 2 years. Have Adam finish school, get a job, and decide where we were going to spend the next few years of our lives. Well, here we are 5 years later, still here. I few months ago, we had this great plan to move before Gabe started school and maybe get a little closer to Adam's job. In talking to a few different Realtors we found out that moving right now (probably this year) is out of the question.
So in thinking about this dilemma lately I have come to 2 conclusions. 1. Stay here, finish the basement (the way we want it) or 2. stay here and be miserable for another year or 2 and then try to move. I have thought a lot about this and think that staying here in Sunset is probably what it is going to be. If we don't move soon, we both have the feeling that Adam is going to wind up in the Bishopric and that means 5+ years here. Might as well make the most of it, RIGHT? So, I have decided that in addition to putting another bathroom in the basement, we can do a little remodeling down there and make a big bedroom at the back of the basement, turn the bedroom that is down there and the family room into a big open room and then put a pool table down there with the air hockey table and then finish the laundry/storage room. Then we can put the boys down there and if it is finished, hopefully, they won't be scared to be down there. they can have their own bathroom and then, I can turn the smaller bedroom up here into a craft/art/computer room and we will be making the most of the space in our house.
I don't know. Maybe eventually, we can remodel the kitchen and get a dishwasher. it could be a good dchoice. we could focus on getting this house, the house we can afford, payed off quicker and then have money to save or use to update somethings and get this house the way we want it. I don't know. something to think about.
